Is It Fair?

Thursday, January 26th, 2012

There is a lot of talk about what is “fair” today. Well, what is “fair”? (more…)

Mind Your Own Business

Sunday, March 6th, 2011

Do you mind – your own mind – and your own busyness? What about others? (more…)

A window may allow us to see

An item need not actually be broken to no longer be usable. Often this is by design.

Apoptosis is the biological term for programmed cell death. It serves a positive purpose. Without it, cancer results (in uncontrolled and often unending growth and development – that ultimately results in the death of the entire person rather than the replacement of individual cells). (more…)

Lift the VEIL of EVIL

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

Humans do many things for “money” that they would not do otherwise. This is often as, if not more, true for those who “have” (and fear “losing” or not having “enough”) money as those who don’t. (more…)

Copper Dollars

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

A penny saved is a penny earned? Take care of your pennies and your dollars will take care of themselves? A (magic) penny that doubles it’s (“compounded“) value every day would very quickly be “worth” more than a million (paper) dollars. What do YOU think about pennies – and dollars?

Offering a penny for someone’s thoughts doesn’t usually make putting their two cents in “worth” doing (or a fair exchange of “value”). Even offering a dollar (coin) is not likely to change things much. Pennies used to be made out of copper (and nickels out of nickel). Today, they no longer are. Fractions are not your friend

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

There have been quite a few exceptionally tragic “natural” disasters lately – mostly affecting some of the poorest areas of the world. The probability of “ongoing” occurrences of dramatic destruction and resulting “reduction” of the affected local human population in the near future is something to consider – as is the possibility that human influence on what happens on this planet may at the same time be at least fraction more and less than many people might suspect. Humans are certainly capable of causing all sort of upheaval – especially economically. (more…)

Hi Ho Silver, Away!

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

You don’t have to be The Lone Ranger, wear a mask, or even ride a horse, to appreciate the value of SILVER. Silver has been used and valued around the world for thousands of years – and is becoming increasingly “dear”. “Rein” in whatever you can get hold of – before the price of silver starts to run away.

If SILVER is your “horse”, you should ride, ride, ride. (more…)

Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone!

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

The tallest structure in the world is (Burj Khalifa) in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). It was paid for in SILVER. Dubai is one of a growing number of countries that do not accept the Federal Reserve Notes (called “Dollars” by Americans) that have been the “reserve currency” of the world since 1944. (more…)
